Brief History

The "new" Village Hall was opened in 1983, replacing the previous "mizzen hut" - it was constructed by local "volunteers".  The BDCC raised much of the funds for the current hall, as did various local organisations and individuals.  Following the dissolution of the BDCC in 2007 the Village Hall Management Committee established a Social sub-committee, which has already been active in organising future events for the community and also to raise further funds.  The Bredfield Village Hall & Playing Field is independent of the Bredfield Parish Council, and was originally facilitated by donation of the land.
